If you never venture off the calm strip of beaches on the southwest side of the island, you will still have a wonderful time, but if you’re looking for a different landscape, check out the Northeast coastline. Cactus filled land, lined on one side by rocky shores with crashing waves make for a beautiful view. You can drive right up to the coast, it’s bumpy, but our rental car made it just fine.
You will find the Alto Vista Chapel here too, a lovely little peaceful spot. We happened upon the chapel and lit a candle for a friend who needed all the love she could get. You don’t need to be affiliated with any religion to experience the calm of this place. There is a lot of info about the chapel on the internet, but I like this description: Alto Vista Chapel.
Have you been to the Northeast coast of Aruba? Any tips?
